Mesa Public School Example

Arizona's Mesa Public School District recently discovered how easy it can be to handle their accounting needs when they installed an internet based electronic payment system created by MyTechSupport, Inc., of Provo Utah.

"We love it," said Debbie Ramsey, Supervisor of the Accounting Department for the District. "We have decreased our paper work dramatically and increased our efficiency. It's wonderful."

According to Joel Otterstrom, MyTechSupport President and CEO, the idea behind the DS Contribution System was to provide a way for school districts and other not-for-profit groups to accept donations with complete security, satisfy government regulations, and deal efficiently with other accounting needs. At the same time they wanted the system to be user friendly so it could be used effectively by a lot of people with a wide range of computer skills.

That's exactly what the MyTechSupport technical team came up with when they created the DS Contribution System.

"Our system reduces administrative costs by up to 85 percent by streamlining the need to shuffle paperwork and automatically creating custom reports as desired by the district and mandated by government agencies," Otterstrom pointed out. "And we've built into the system the flexibility to modify the look of our program to match the look and feel of their own site."

Ms. Ramsey admitted they were not even using all the features but were especially impressed with the savings they were making in their bookstore program. They also use the system in their various Sports Camps programs and with their Extra-Curricular, after-school programs that are tax exempt for donors.

Sometime in the near future Ms. Ramsey said they were interested in adopting a corporate program where matching funds payments can be made with ease and flexibility. "We're looking into this and expect to be able to use the DS Contribution System to its fullest extent," she said.

The matching funds feature built into the DS Contribution System allows business and even private donors to track their own contribution account and thus keep up-to-date with their commitment to double amounts collected through various fund raising campaigns within the district.

The DS Contribution System allows authorized personnel to upload appropriate forms and agreement documents into specific, individualized, and secured locations where corporate personnel can view it and make future donations.

"We've had nothing but good things come out of this program. And we especially have appreciated the way MyTechSupport has been so willing to help us. They were great to us in the beginning and have been willing to help us ever since. It's been a pleasure to work with them," Ms. Ramsey said.
